Welcome to the KE5KBY and KE5RNO repeater website. This site has been
established by Kaufman County Amateur Radio Emergency Service as a
public service to provide information regarding our repeater system.
This website will contain various pieces of information that will be
helpful to amateur radio operators wishing to use the repeater system,
including rules of conduct and other policies.
As we build and use our repeaters, we will expand this website to
include photos of the repeaters, repeater builds, installations, use
and more. We will include any public document so that they can be
accessed here by anyone. We will talk about events that use the
repeater or that the repeater assisted with.
The purpose for this repeater system is both to allow amateur radio
operators to have a repeater that they can talk on during a regular
basis and a system owned and operated by Kaufman County ARES to be used
as an emergency repeater system during emergencies and disasters allow
us to support response, rescue and relief efforts throughout the county.
The repeater system is being established to cover an area that is
800 square miles. We are using various techniques and options to meet
this goal. We are always welcome to suggestions, support, donations and more. This is an active community project and we need your help. Be sure to check back often for updates on this website and the repeaters themselves.
